I’m Jules, a twenty-something freelance writer currently based in London. I like funny socks, cereal, steam trains, bright nail varnish, guinea pigs, fiddle music and lavender-scented anything. I don’t like tomatoes, humidity, onesies, high altitude, answering phone calls or hoovering.
I created this blog as a gathering place for pieces I’ve written for online publications and as somewhere I can post my own writing.
I wanted to create a space where I could not only share my own words but also connect with other writers and industry professionals because all my friends seem to have secure, 9-5 jobs and sometimes when I text them at 11am bemoaning the fact that my favourite cafe has no available plug-sockets, they are often not as understanding as I would like. (JK, they’re all awesome but the freelancin’ life can be a lonely one sometimes)
This blog will probably be mostly reflective and narrative travel/lifestyle writing. I’ve been really getting into creative non-fiction lately so we’ll see how that develops.
So yep, that’s pretty much me. If you want to get in touch or just say hello, info can be found on the ‘contact me’ page.
To end, here’s a picture of me staring pensively out across the Cliffs of Moher because I feel like this is both the time and the place for it.
Thanks for stopping by!
